More problems with 2001 Sunfire

I appreciate soo much all the replies I have gotten regarding my car. Finally Friday it started-the fuse has blown-so he replaced the fuse and it ran fine. I did notice the check engine light was now on. I figured it was due to the fuel pump going out and I was going to take it to Auto Zone to get it checked out on Monday. Well...Sunday afternoon - I go get in my car and now the RPM's went real high...up to about 3 while it was in park. When I shifted to Reverse or Drive they would go way down and it would die. (It sounded awful while in drive before it would die)....
I don't know what else to do! I just spent 250.00 on fuel pump and still owe my friend for labor - I am broke till payday..
I have to use my car every day for my job....
I just bought this car 2 months ago from a dealership in Austin Texas-I live in Dallas though......it only has 47k miles on it.
Any suggestions what I should do now???? Thanks sooo much.

Frustrated and broke in Dallas,
Vicky

if you absolutely need it fixed, the best option is a gm dealership and pay by credit card, it definitely wont be the cheapest but at least they can fix it quickly (hopefully)
