Pre-purchase Concerns

Hey Guys... I've done some research, but I haven't been able to get "good" feedback on pros/cons to the RX-7 as a sports car in general. So I was wondering if you guys in the rx-7 community would be able to help me. I've got a 93 Probe (as mentioned in my sig.). Its been my car for a while now, and I'm looking for an upgrade. I saw a 1988 Mazda RX-7 5 spd manual (I only drive manuals cars...), pw, pdl... that's all i got from it.. I'm going to check it out some time this week, but I thought i'd ask what should i be more conscience about? Its going for $3k. I can easily sell my probe for $3,200 ,but I know my probe will run for another 40-50k miles no problem, so I'm also looking for something that can be just as reliable.

Thank you for all your responses! I'll check out the car and give a further reply later!

Re: Pre-purchase Concerns

first of all I'm assuming when you put 98 rx-7 you meant like 88 or 89 or something like that... second of all it won't be totally reliable for 40-50k miles... a NA will be pretty good for that long, it will go to the shop at least once or twice I can almost guarantee though... and a TII... well we won't get into that haha
