Crx progress pictures

OK so I plan to hopefully put my motor in next weekend so I got busy now that I have all my body stuff and started to get her ready for the motor. Still have some stuff to do but heres what I got done over the weekend.

Heres the engine bay after I soacked in it cleaner and then pressure washed it.

And after the paint.

Another after. I'm happy with how it came out, wasnt as hard as I thought it was going to be.

And heres my first attempt at ever using bondo, once again I was happy with how it came out, no perfect but its not bad at all either, it will do for now until Im really ready to paint.

And after it was on the car, took it at night when i was cleaning up, sorry. lol.

And my driver side fender after paint, didnt need any dent removal.

Old tails, cracked on the corner and in some other spots.

Whoever painted this car black sure did an awful job, didnt even remove the tail lights.

New tails. All that stuff in my hatch is spare parts, my interior is fully together.

And last for today, my bumper painted and ready to go on.

And heres a pic of the wheels I picked up for super cheap.

Thanks for looking guys comments are welcome.

Re: Crx progress pictures

For those of you who dont remember, this is what the car looked like when i first picked it up.

I love being rid of the rice. I know I always used to bitch at other people for rocking primer but I no longer can do that. I plan to prep and primer the whole car and roll like that for a month or so and before I paint it.

Re: Crx progress pictures

This is going into it:

same motor that was in my civic.

As for tips on cleaning the engine bay, all I did was spray on Tar and Bug remover, rubbed it all down with a scotchbrite pad, and then used my pressure washer to clean it and get all the really hard stuff off. Only took like an hour.

Looks good Hybrid. I like those wheels too. Are you going to paint them?

Re: Crx progress pictures

I used Grease Lightning for cleaning, and a bunch of raggs. I took everything off and cleaned under it too, like the fuse box, injector box and what not. I was suprised at how well it did clean up under the hood.

Re: Crx progress pictures

Im not sure yet what im gonna do with the wheels, just gonna leave them how they are for now. Gonna wrap them in Azenies sometime this summer.

Heres new shots from what I got done today before I went to class. Got the bumper and corner lights on.

And with the hood on.

And one more from the rear.

Only thing that kinda sucks is i totally forgot to cut the holes for my sidemarkers. DOH!

Tomorrow I will probably put my flywheel and clutch in, i'll make a write up for that, and then i'll start on the b16 write up.

Thaks for looking.

Looking good so far.

Did you take a chainsaw to that bumper after you got it off.
