Lots of ?s

I bought an older s-10 but idk what year but its older then my 91. Its a 2.8 V6, and I the 91 is a 4.3 V6 in my s-10. Its 2wd the 91s 4wd. Now for the questions. It has a posi system and i was wondering would the gearing be the same for my 91 and the older one? And if not, is there any way that i could put the posi in my 91. Also the 2wd has the swing out windows in the extended cab, but mine has the regular ones. How do i go about getting them out so i can put the swing out ones in my 91. It has the circle gauges with the stock tach, and the heater above the radio but i dont know what year it is, b/c i dont have the title yet. Thanks for any help.

Re: Lots of ?s

you signed the title, why didnt you look?? lol, in the glove box there should be codes, somone here knows a site that will tell you which one you need to look at for reare end gearing, but it dont matter you cant change it anyways, you dont have the front axel, that will need changeing when you do the rear one, atleast i reccomend it. and as for the windows your looking for a lot of work, you have to cut the plastic, mount the opening end, and then install the pivot point on the other side, lots of work from what i can tell, never done it, could be wrong, but my thinking is, it will be a pain in your ars

Thats the thing i didnt sign the title. i bought it off of my friend for $50, b/c he didnt want it anymore. He cant find the title, but he knows it at his house so im waiting for that. As for the glovebox, theres nothing in there. And If my 4wd and the 2wd have the same gearing y would i need to take the front end?

Re: Lots of ?s

hmm glove box should have a sticker in it... and no offence, or flaming, but you must have some searious trust in your buddy, as far as the law is concerned he owns the truck still... and why you would want to swap, if your swapping for the same thing??? as for the window trick, as long as it fits and matches up, yes you can take it out, maby some fab needed but i dont see anything mroe then a dremmel

I could see the position of

not trusting someone if I gave them a grand for the truck. But he paid the guy 50bux. I'd wait for a title on only 50bux. The only thing I might want to do different is get a bill of sale.

Re: Lots of ?s

go down to the dmv and get a lost title form and have your buddy fill it out so you can get a title, you should be able to use the rearend as long as th "gu" number on the sticker in the glovebox is the same
