new shift knob

i bought an after market shift knob for my 97 prelude and it fits on the lever but it doesn't fit into the boot like the original knob did for obvious reasons. what's a good solution to make the new knob fit right into the boot? or maybe just make it look good?

i had the same problem its almost impossible to make the stock boot fit with aftermarket shiftknobs so ive heard, i ended up making it sortof look good by using some extra shit that came with the aftermarket one it still doesnt look right though

i just took out the chunk of plastic that was in the opening of the boot. so the boot just stands there not attached at all, but it looks ok for now.

get an aftermarket boot. you have to take out the center console and remove the factory boot by taking out the staples and then staple the new boot in place.
