Odometer error message

Hi, I have a 2002 Buick Rendezvous and I am getting an odometor error message. Where the odometer usually reads the mileage, now it just reads "error" . This has just happened in the last day or two. Can anyone help out?

Its my understanding that to correct dealer would have to hook up tech2 and look for diagnostic trouble codes. Could involve vehicle speed sensors, pcm, or possibly instrument panel cluster

I get the same error message on my 2002 Rendezvous. What did you find out?
