Jetta head unit placeholder
Is there a way to remove the box above the head unit without damaging it, so it can be placed back in?
http://www.amdtrims.com/ebay/images/jetta_ba.jpg There is a picture of what i'm talking about, the empty space above the radio. |

Re: Jetta head unit placeholder
The box that's perfect for sunglasses and parking stubs? Yeah, what you have to do is remove the cupholder (two metal tabs on the outside edge, visable with door open and cupholders retracted) then remove the stereo, then grab the top and bottom of the "box" and pull. It'll pull out of a plug type thing at the back, and there are two little wings on the sides to keep it in place as well. In other words, grab it and pull straight toward the trunk.

Ahhh the cupholder too, great thanks a lot. It is perfect for holding things, i just have to take it out and put a hole in the back for a wire.

Re: Jetta head unit placeholder
Definately don't have to cut any wires... should just be a plug-and-play type of thing.
