Re: is there any thing out there

an Ecotec will not fit without moving out the wheel wells, no engine will drop in except another saturn 1.9L without modifacition. but why would you want to? the 1.9L can handle over 400HP.

how would I push a sl1/ sl2 to around 400 HP?
turbo, NOS, performance pistons, cam, full exhaust, bore/stroke? anybody achieved this kinda HP from a sc or sl?
that would also take alot of modification I'm assuming, I didn't think the stock block could handle much higher compression... maybe 5-10 lbs more than stock as a normal driver...
FWD car with ~400 HP, seems like I'd just spin 'em
I'd like to see a picture of a saturn with some big 'ol slicks on the front

heh heh heh, wheres it at? somebodys gotta have one

The Ecotec fits without moving the wheel wells. I know more than one person with this setup. I'm not sure what all went into it, but I know they didn't have to cut and paste the wheels.

Re: is there any thing out there

i agree with the why deal,i got very little money invested in mine and its quite pleasing, i have a 2 with a few mods. such as 3" cone filter forced air hood scoop not much of an exhaust as in 421 headers to a peices of 2 1/2 to a elbow goin out in front of the rear tires, performance ignition as in plugs and wires, tricked the comp into thinking it was getting -40 degree air inlet temp, lots of weight reduction, i mean lots lol no back seats no carpet no dash (except steel beam gioin across, and gauges), lots of under hood weight loss ac pwr steering ect and probably a bit more tricks i forgot about but all in all it makes for one quick little getter if you ask me
im thinking of modifying the exhaust to alow me to bolt on a turbo but then comes the inj. part im told you use oldsmobile quad 4 but i dont know if its true ok well anyway a point i was trying to make is been ranted off but any way there are dozens of 1.9 saturns in junk yards if you toast one but try to find a ecotec maybe its just around hewre i dont know
