Turn signal issue...
When i hit the left turn signal lever the turn lights flash normal but flipping the lever to go right it flashes twice as fast. Is that a relay going bad? any ideas?

Re: Turn signal issue...
Could be a ground issue.
I watched a 97 Trans Sport go down the road last night with its backup lights on. Every time the guy touched the brake the backup lights went out. When he used the turn signals it had a mixed display of brake and turn signals flashing really fast like there was too much of a load on the flasher (which there likely was!). What this tells me is that these vehicles are prone to electrically problems where circuits go bad and lose their 'ground' reference often. An investigation of the front signal and rear brake and turn signals light sockets with a good multi meter might tell you which circuit is acting up. Look for broken ground wires or grounds that are not properly attached to the body. If this is not your area of expertise, I suggest getting help from a good technician who works on electrical. |

Re: Turn signal issue...
I had similar experienced like 1999Montana described. I lost the ground on the left backup light and every light bubl went wacky when I turn on the left signal, and if I hit the brake pedal, both turn signal indicators light up on the dash. So check out the ground wire on the rear light.

Re: Turn signal issue...
I agree with eleveniron !!
What you probably have is a bad circuit card. That is where your rear light assy where bulbs go in. I had mine go and would do same thing like flash very fast or both brake lights come on when I hit the brake. Just to make sure thought check the side marker lights that they are working. |

My '98 was doing the same thing.
It was a the ground wire inside the connector. It melted and was not making contact. |

Re: Turn signal issue...
it was a bulb. Its the front turn signal. One of the elements is bad. Cause when i use the keyless entry that light flashes and the turn signal doesnt.
