Question

no.1 cylinder fouling plugs fule to lean

i have a 1997 sable. i have had it hooked up to scan tool many times and it always shows code for egr system.no.1 cylinder seems to be running lean.plugs get hot and foul.i dont see how it just fouls 1 cylinder.
