how can I increase power

I have an 1835cc engine and i was wondering how i can make it faster, i have the stock 34 solex carb. will a bigger carb add HP? any ideas?

dual carbs..i tink your large enough in the bores..i asked a friend about htis and he said a dual carb setup would help a lot, and probably a larger exhaust system.

I'm going to post a 2 barrel holly weber progressive on E-Bay in a few weeks I'll let you know when I do. It comes with dual port intakes, manifold, and a chrome air filter. Its used and will probably need a rebuild but i will be a lot cheaper than new.

I have a 1776 and I'm running two dual throat Weber 36 IDF's, with big valve heads and 1 1/2 inch exhaust and it runs pretty good. I picked up the Webers on Ebay for $300. You can use dual single thoats too, like Kadrons or the dual Solexes with chokes from CB Performance. With your displacement you can use more carberation along with a good exhaust.
