2001 Galant CD player troubles
A while ago the CD player(Infinity model) in my car started giving me Errors when reading every CD. It says E 01 when I put in any CD so I am stuck with just listening to the radio.
I thought about taking it out and seeing if I can do something with the CD player but I can't for the life of me find a way to remove the CD player from the dash. There don't seem to be any screws or anything to let me get at it. How can I remove the CD player in a 2001 Gallant? Also, if removal isn't necessary can anyone give me some advice on how to fix my CD player? I tried blowing compressed air in there but that didn't do anything and I'm thinking of trying those CD lens cleaners but I think those only work if the CD is actually read which would be a problem for me since it can't read any CDs. It does make an audible reading noise but the E 01 error always pops up. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

there's no point in opening it up. try the lens cleaner.... the lens may jus be covered with stuff not letting it read.... if that doesn't work then the unit wil need replaced.
