92 civic ex four door mods

I am planning on getting a CAI, a new intake manifold and dc sports headers to start my engine dos. I was wondering what you guys thought about this as a start. Also one other question is there a difference between 4-2-1 headers and 4-1 performance wise. Thanks a bunch in advance.

Re: 92 civic ex four door mods

somthing like a swap or turbo kit would do ALOT better then a i/h/e for near same price too.

but if thats what you want get anyold intake. all the same less your in cali then its gotta be AEM *sucks for you* or just swap off for smogging*
header look for a good 4-2-1 *even though piping and bends can make a 4-1 have a broader band* most resonalbly priced headers 4-2-1 are better for a D motor. For intake manifold run to a junkyard get a y8 intake mani great flow and cheap i had one back on my a6 cost me 40 and helped more then my catback.

When you say a Y8 manifold what do you mean. Also I wondering about a paintjob when I get done with engine, suspension, and rim mods. How much does a decent, not showcar quality but glossy paintojob, how much will that run me.
