new vortec in 97 yukon?

just wondering if the new VORTEC 5.3 will bolt in a 97 yukon and will it fit the tranny? dont think it will but worth a shot

Hi,
this may be pretty tricky even if the tranny would take the new engine because the 5.7 was in the OBS (Old Body Style)and the 5.3 is in the NBS (New Body Style) which will have revamped electronics and wiring.
