not starting

im having the same problem as "c420has" . my car will not start, where do i begin my troubleshooting? my starter is less than 6mths old, alternator is 6mths old also. battery is fine, could it be the ignition switch? where can i find the fuses? could it be a solenoid problem?
please help, i love this car!

you need to be more specific as to what your car is doing and what it is not...

Answer these questions:

- When you turn the key to ON position, do the lights on the dash light up?

- When you turn the key to START position, do you hear a click, whirring noise, or both?

- If the engine does crank, does it do so slowly or quickly?

I can help you better if you answer those.

there is no sound when i try to start my car, when the ignition is in the on position, the radio ,lights,and turn signals work. when i try to start my car nothing happens. my car was running good before this happened. i went to start my car to go to work, i was letting the car warm up when it shut off. i tried to restart and nothing. this has happened to me before while driving, i popped the hood and noticed my alternator had lost some bearings from the backside of it. i replaced the alternator and the car ran fine. there is nothing wrong with this alternator as far as i can see? what are your thoughts?

the answer is yes to the first question.
the car does not make any sound when attempting to start
and the engine does not crank at all.
what are your thoughts?
