What kind of chain do you use and why?

I am looking into purchasing a new chain for my bike and have been looking into the big three chain manufacturers: D.I.D. , RK , and EK. I'm sure there are others but these are the most prevalent. I'm curious to know what everyone's experiences are with their particular brand. Tell me what you get on mileage, type of riding style, and how often you have to adjust your chain. I haven't found any chain comparisons on the net, so I'm really curious as to what everyone has to say. Currently I have a EK chain, but I'm not sure if is the economy version, because I swear I have to adjust it after every ride. My riding style varies from mild to wild, so maybe adjustment after every ride is normal. Thoughts?

A chain is pretty much a chain. If you're having to adjust the chain tension all the time, your problem is probably with whatever mechanism tensions the chain, not the chain itself.
The snailshell adjusters on my Jawa were constantly slackening up, I had to adjust to tighten the chain before every ride almost, but the chain was still in fine condition.

while your down there.........
check your sprockets.

it might pay to change the chain and both sprockets. and maybe play with the ratios a little at the same time. now it gets more interesting coz you can change the pitch as well when you do all three.

example;

i changed my front sprocket down one tooth (more acc less top speed)

but now i want more but i need to do a conversion from a 530 chain to a 520 to allow more combinations of sprockets.

they don't make any other ratios other than the two for the front for my bike in the 530.

hence i'm stuffed and have to shell out more for a new front sprocket again

hmm. thats where ur wrong. sprocket specialest will make you anything you want at a resonable price to. 520 is the cheap way to go. im a RK GOLD chain man and i'd never put a 520 on my bike cause if that shit snapps your gonna find ur self with a tangled chain in your rear wheel locking it up on the freeway or where ever you are and die from a stupid chain.

I used a (D.I.D V-type professional O-ring chain) on my old CBR 600 F2. Worked well i never had a problem with it.
