Just had mine replaced a few days ago. I had some work done a few months back and the mechanic told me it was flagging a code, but I ignored it until recently, because I have to get my emissions test done. It did flag the CEL, and my gas gauge was all over the place. Works like a champ now. Luckily it was covered under the Carmaxx warranty I bought along with the truck, otherwise it would have cost around $500. |

I just had it done too!
My 2001 3.2l V6 2wd Rodeo had the same symptoms and CEL on. I have 61,000 miles and am the original owner so it was covered under warranty. My Isuzu dealership replaced the sending unit and the fuel pump. It would have been $520 had it not been covered.

Re: Bad Fuel Sending Unit -> Check Engine??
Yep. Code P0463 (and likely the gauge will be erratic as well)
