Timing question easy answer

OK I know this has been posted like 10,000 times but I"m in the middle of setting the timing or need to, but I can't seem to find it right now so don't flame me to bad on this one but I need to know how to set the timing on an SR20det I know to turn the CAS but I don't know where to put my wire for my timing light since I don't have plug wires also don't knowwhat the marks are on the Main pully to know what it is, also did find that the timing is sopose to be set 16 degrees but is this right? Also does anyone know any other items that could be causing the engine not to be running smoothly or idlingto well, could be MAF but I don't think so.... Please reply asap I need to get this thing running correctly. Well I'm going to search for a little while while I"m waiting maybe I will be able to find it, it's funny how use to your own computer you get thisone is a POS!
