Power Window Problem

I have a 2002 2 door Cavalier and the other day I rolled the passenger window down but it wouldn't go back up! There is no sound and the drivers side works fine. I intially only rolled it down half way but when the "up" side of the switch had no affect, I rolled it down a bit more hoping to maybe clear whatever the problem with the "up" function might be. Well, it's now in the full down position and won't go up. Does this sound like a switch or motor. I was thinking the switch since the motor worked fine going down. Any mechanics out there know how to check the switch or have any ideas on what may be the problem. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

Forgot to mention. When I press the switch down, I hear a noise like a switch or a click sound coming from the door. When I press it up, I hear no sound but it seems to be drawing current as the interior lights dim slightly. This seems to suggest the switch is functioning. But maybe I'm wrong.
