Firstly Car:
'87 Z-28 305 Carb. I need to replace this arm on my car because the washer switch has snapped off + the CC controls dont appear to be working either. The thing is How do I do this? I assume i'll need to take the plastic casing off the steering column as the CC wire goes into it, how does this come off? + anyone know how the actual arm comes off? do I just pull hard? Cheers in advance for help. FUB |

Re: Replacing Indicator/wiper/cruise control arm
The arm pushes in with a ring that holds it. Sort of wind it around and pull out hard. Don't pull the wires in two. The switch itself is in the column, rear bear of a job to replace.

Ok cheers, does the plastic casing need to be removed from the column? if so how? I couldn't find any screws or anything presumably because steering columns aren't designed to be able to be taken apart easily

Re: Replacing Indicator/wiper/cruise control arm
Pretty good rundown on the job for a Fiero, very similar to others. Make sure you have plenty of time, tedious work.
