I've got a '94 9C1, and recently after a burnout, I've got what sounds like a slightly noisy lifter on the right bank of the motor. I'm no motorhead, so I'm not sure what this means. Is it going to eventually drop that particular valve? Will it blow my motor?. I'm faithful with oil changes and such. Still runs like a bat outta hell with no performance sufferance with this noisy lifter.
If I have it replaced, do I need to replace all the lifters and/or have a complete valve job done? What is estimated cost? Thanks! |

Re: Noisy lifter or valve
You have broken one more exhaust manifold bolts on that is side. It's quite a common occurrence for these cars. Getting the bolts out can be a PITA. But on the good side, it's a perfect time to install headers. ;-)
