door panel removal 2000 Silverado
I just bought some new 6.5 inch speakers and I want to know how to install them. I don't want to wreck my door panel so could someone tell me how to do it?

Re: door panel removal 2000 Silverado
I removed the plastic outer snap in ring that holds the factory speakers and placed the new speakers under that same ring and snapped it back into place. No drilling, no glue. 5 minutes for the door, 5 minutes to cut and solder the wires, 3 minutes to snap speaker in, and 5 minutes to reinstall the door. Ok, more like a complete hour as I needed a beverage or two per door.....

Re: door panel removal 2000 Silverado
Take off the pod where the window switches are and theres one screw behind it, theres one behind the door open handle, and one under the storage pocket. REmove all 3 screws and then lift the door UP, don't pull it straight out or you'll break the plastic clips.
PS.. I think the screws are 8mm.
