Angry 89 New Yorker ABS Pump

The ABS pump/motor quit working. It's the Bosch unit. When I called to order a rebuilt, I was told they are out and don't expect to have any, but to try back in 60 days. The dealer wants $2200 for a new one. The whole car's not worth that. What are other people doing? I'm open to ideas except the Match and fire thing.
What other modles use this system besides the Cad. Allante?

Re: 89 New Yorker ABS Pump

I have no idea what the match and fire thing is, but I'd just throw the abs thing out and hook the hydralic lines up to the master cylinder. may have to get some new fittings is all. But I'm a bit biased thinking abs is good for nothing except getting you killed.

there's a pump for it? beats me, but if there is and it's in line with the snake belt, bypass/take it off and get a smaller belt too.
