2.8 in 87 s-10
I have now got a crapper of a 2.8L today it started to knock and I need to know if its crapped or if possibly it is oil pressure. It shows around 10 when it idles and around 35 - 40 at running speed. please help...

It's your lucky day.... Really!!!
Get rid of that lousy boat anchor of an engine, and BOLT a 3.4L engine from a Comaro RIGHT IN! It'll bolt right in with very few mods, and you'll have a better motor with more power. A win - win situation you lucky guy. I wish that I would have known this when I did the stupid thing and re-built my 85 2.8L.
