Brake Problems...

Im tired of these squeaky brakes....! Also when in reverse or sometimes in neutral when rolling the brakes or something keeps grabbing and vibrating like hell(sometimes with little brake pressure and sometimes with none)...doesnt sound to good when your trying to make your car nice it makes people think you dont care about it. Ok...I tried replacing the front pads... and the Caliper wont come off of the rotor?! Why wont the caliper decompress when there is no pressure on the pedal? Also on the Lugs there is rust and on the inside of the lug nuts? The first time i took them off there wasnt any rust now there is? Why? And please someone help my 240....Stupid brakes are so freaking drivign me up the wall right now.

Re: Brake Problems...

there are plenty of installs for brake pad replacement.. i think zilvia has one (not sure). as for the squeeking of the brakes that's natural unless it sounds more like scratching.. then you have problems. You can purchase brake cleaners and lubricants at any local auto store and spray it on there if the noise bothers you that much. Doesn't it go away after you've driven a few blocks or so? There is oxidation on the rotors from moisture and it takes a few "brakes" to get it off... that's the sound u hear.

Maybe it's time you get new rotors.. that usually fixes brake problems... (since you've already started replacing the pads)

2 cents.

Re: Brake Problems...

oh and if you hear the noise when your simply rolling... (like you mentinoed) there's a possibility your rotors are warped... so if you can verify that go ahead and replace them.

that's also a good oopurtunity for a upgrade at the same time..*hint: Z32*

heres the thing...

My brakes dont grab or vibrate when rolling forward only backwards. Now the squealing is on brake pressure and it doesnt go away after a few blocks. Its just squealing under stopping pressures. and also ill be doing a 5 Lug WilWood big Brake upgrade this summer hopefully.

Re: Brake Problems...

if ur gonna go with a brake upgrade then just hold off for now, but if its so annoying that u have to make it stop, id just go and buy a new rotor because u said it only happens under pressure so its probally the cause...just my
