Question production info

I have been told that my car may be from a limited production. Anyone know how I would go about verifying that information?

If you can provide as much information about the car, model, type, year of manufacture etc. including the VIN number that would help. What makes you think it might be a limited model?

It is a 1988 735i 4 door. What makes it atypical is that it has a 5 speed manual transmission. I was told that there were not very many produced for the US market with a stick. VIN: WABAGB3317[insert a symbol that looks kinda like a "3"]1630914. Appreciate your interest and advice.

As much as i know about it is the fact that there weren't too many made with manual gearboxes, period. The automatic is much more the norm and some people actually prefer the manual, but I suppose it depends on what kind of driving you do. I like the 'lazy' approach myself!
Some people will use the manual box as a saleable point, asking more for the car because it's a bit rarer.

Re: production info

I have enjoyed the stick. It is a very fun car to drive! Thanks for your input.
