030 how much horsepower?

I have a 283 bored .030 with a two barrel and power pac heads. stock exhaust. I was told it was now 287.5 cu. in. but no mention of horsepower increase. Does anyone know just how much would be gained by in horsewpower by .030 bore ?

Probably not noticeable, add a 4 barrel and headers and you will have an increase. Add a turbo and double it. Just doing a .030 clean up bore won't be a real increase that anyone will notice.

Thanks for the reply. I didn't think it would do much but wasn't sure.

all they mean when they say .030 over is that they have machined the cylinder wall 30 thousands on all 8 to make it so you can put on 8 new pistons and have them all match up

but if you want to get some major hp outta of 283 block do cool tricky shit like give it a cam with a nice ass not stock duration or give it domed pistons cool shit like that but headers and exhuast give it a nice increase also change up the 2 barrel for a 4 barrel that will really help the engine breathe better

just think of the enigne as one big air pump wit gas in the mix
you want to get as much air fuel mix as you can in as fast as you can and you want to get it out even faster cuase then the enigne is able to pump more in
