95 explorer instrument cluster

I have one of the automotive books for the explorer and I have read several of the threads that pertain to the instrument cluster. What I need are the details on how to get to the cluster.

The book has you remove the lower pannels which I can do. Then you are suppose to remove the upper pannel. This is where I have the problem. I can remove the visible screws underneath the top edge as well as the screws at the stearing column area but the pannel still won't come off.

There appears to be a connection "behind" the bezel that goes around the radio area but no mention on this having to be removed. So I assume I am still missing some areas to unscrew before the top pannel will come off.

What I need to do is replace the BULBS.....

thanks for you help
Alan

several bulbs went out in my dash on my '95 Exploder as well, you have to remove the radio/heater bezel as well as the other panels in order to remove the the dash panel covering the cluster, If i remember correctly, there is a screw underneath that can only be accessed by removing the radio/heater bez.

That's kinda what I figured, but HOW do you remove the Radio/Heater Bezel? Do you have to remove the RADIO first? Or does it just "unsnap"?

Thanks
Alan
