Re: quick question

i don't believe it will fit. i read somewhere a while ago that you need a FWD GST fuel pump for a GST and an AWD GSX pump for the GSX.

Re: quick question

There are basically two different configurations of the pumps inlet. I don't know what years are what. I've made the wrong one fit. Its like putting the square peg in the round hole, but with some large channel locks, a vice, and a large heavy hammer (I call it "The Punisher"), it'll go. And no, I wouldnt recomend you try it (unless you're a hack like me). Check the vfaqs, and search toonerz, this info has got to be out there already (which cars have which setup).

Re: quick question

A fuel pump is a fuel pump... Doesnt matter what car its from (Supra, RX7, AWD/FWD DSM) cars like that, it will fit just fine. The only difference is the mounting brackets that the fuel pump sits/mounts in. Other than the mounting bracket the way the pump attaches to the harness and attaches to the pick up and feed lines are the same.

I wouldnt recomend hacking the shit out of the bracket to everyone though. I would still make a serious effort to get the pump that was designed for the application. I've put a AWD pump in a FWD car, or vice versa, I forget, and it was a major pain in the ass. Nothing lined up. Hardly worth it when the correct pump is only 100 bucks new.

Re: quick question

i think that jake means the pump itself and not the whole pump assembly. to clarify for other people in the thread most fuel pumps are 2 pieces. a small cylinder thats the actual pump and a big bracket that holds the pump and fuel level guage float.
