internet buying rant

why cant people on the internet ever get your order right that you make? I order my pulley from a guy in michigan who runs a pulley shop and such. I found him on ebay. Anways first he tells me he has a 2.7 inch non keyed 6 rib pulley, man thats perfect for me. And for only 55 bucks. So i buy it, it gets here. Its 7 ribs. . .mother fucker. So i tell him im sending it back. He gets it back and now he tells me the smallest 6 rib pulley he has is 3.0 inch. Well that sucks. Now ive spent 15 bucks to have this thing shipped all around, and i cant even get my pulley. And to top it off, he told me in and email the pulley is a 6 rib pulley for a 6 rib belt. UGH!

End rant

I oderded my rims last monday and they didnt charge my cc until last wednesday, and since they are six days behind my rims won't ship till monday. And to them it looks like I ordered my rims wednesday when in fact it was monday not to mention that they told me yesterday that the rims would ship yesterday or today..and now they say monday. I better get my rims soon or they going to have a VERY pissed off person making a trip to Miami.

Re: internet buying rant

i bought the ceramic coated header and they sent me the black one and charged me for the black one which is 100 cheaper... so i called complained and they sent me the right one for the same price and a credit for shipping. not a bad deal..

Re: internet buying rant

high rev isnt shady, they might be a little slow, but they have always come through for me. I had to cancel one order, i originally ordered an UD pulley, but then i changed my mind and went for the supercharger. i explained it to them in an email, and they quickly refunded my money.

I got burned for $210 on ebay for a phone on ebay. the guy never sent the phone then he left ebay to never return tried to get my money back but there was nothing I could do. that kind of got me worried about using ebay but that is the only time I have got burned I only buy from ebay protected power sellers now. just think I was looking at some yamaha YZF-R6's. but I didn't trust anyone on ebay with that kind of money.

Re: internet buying rant

Secrete by far not, you just have to do your research and meet some people and put down some time helping others out and in return they will become some of the best people you will ever meet. Per sey my connections with RDFABS. Well here is how it began. I was lookin for an intake for my car because i wanted one. Was doing the usual lookin at AEM, INJEN, Weapon R, etc. and was gettin sticker shock at the 200+ bucks for just a short ram intake by them. I saw a few posts on making one at home so i began to lookin into some other things. Read Events posts on making your car faster which Kustmace has brought here from JBO, where EVENT meantions a guy named Chris who customfabricates them. I clicked the link and gave me Chris's JBO registry and location just said Syracuse. So i e-mailed him at that location and asked if it was Syracuse NY and behold it was. Iinquired him about the intake blah blah blah... i almost fainted when he said 100 bucks for the short ram and 195 for the CAI i jumped all over that like a fly on shit. From that point on he did favors for me and and vice versa. The shop is comprised of 3 guys Ryan who owns it, Chris and adam who work for him. Me i have been helping them tie up the loose ends where needed like 2 weeks ago, spent the whole day wireing in the ceiling lights and building the office. Trying to make full exhaust systems on their front lawn weren't cuttin it. Trust me i've spent several hours on the hot pavement with a welder and what have you. So in another month or 2 the shop will be fully open and operating. We hope, Ryan needs to finishing building the house seeing we don't get the last part of the loan for the lift untill they inspect it. But moving along, just goes to show you that people out there in the world are willing to take you under their wing and show you the ropes. I had alot of previous knowledge, this is just fine tuning.

Now besides RDFABS ( www.RDFABS.com )for my parts i order exclusivley through;

www.carcustoms.net
www.aplusperformance.com
www.gravanatuning.com

....and my other connections at Advance auto parts get me what i need.

IF anyone is interested in a high quality Surgical grade stainless steel intake warrentied for life contact Chris;

[email protected]

J-body intakes

95-97 2.2 ( CAI, WAI soon )
98-02 2.2 ( CAI ,WAI )
03-05 2.2 ECOTEC ( CAI, WAI )

inquire about prices, but will be far less than AEM or INJEN. Just mention Cody told you about them if you contact him.

Re: internet buying rant

Nice. thanks a lot man. It must be good to live in an area with actual people and not monster truck drivers... they're a different breed >.> I'll see what I can dig up. and you were right in that other post. I can do way better than that PaceSetter exhaust. but their header for the 2.4 isn't bad...
