Angry Drivers window squeak

Howdy, I have a '97 Blazer Lt 4 door. My problem is, when I roll the window up and down I get a loud highh pitched squeak from down to about half way up and vice versa. It dosen't do this when it rains, so it leads me to believe it is a lube problem. What I need to know is could it be coming from the guids that run on both sides of the window or from the track? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I ware hearing aids and the noise makes my head nearly explode.

Re: Drivers window squeak

I would check the felt like seal things on either side of the window and check for a stone or something.

Yea, that was what I tried first. No luck. I wiped it with a wet shammy and it came back nasty but ten min later it did it again.

Re: Drivers window squeak

Try to spray some silicone down the run channel one side at a time. Might have to remove door trim panel to lube lower part. This will tell you at least where to look. Could also be caused by the rub strips on the edge of the door opening and the door trim panel if the felt is worn off.
