Replacement Brake Lines

I've posted here before for help with my 95 Aurora, and found the members on this board to have the most knowledge on all-things-automotive. This time, however, the Aurora is working fine (because it's parked for the winter with little/no heat) However, I am now working on a friends 92 Roadmaster that is leaking brake fluid...ok, flooding brake fluid. The Front to Rear Brake line is rusted through in several spots and needs to be replaced. Anyone know the best way to do this? Is there a site/store where a complete formed line can be bought? Or a kit for splicing together smaller pre-bent pieces? Any ideas/experiences most welcome.... You guys have come through for me in the past, and I'm sure you'll have some idea where to begin with this

Thanks so very much..

I looked all over for this one and no luck. I would think they would sell it as one piece, but I would first tell you to find out the correct name and/or part number for it. Either call the dealer or go and find a repair manual for the car. I am pretty sure that they would name it somewhere in there. Sorry I can't help you more. You might want to post the question in the buick section too. They will probably know better.

Good luck!

Re: Replacement Brake Lines

You could always purchase a long length of straight brake line at any auto parts store - along with a tubing bender and flaring tool - and do the job yourself. You can use the old one as a pattern for bending the new one. Remember a brake line requires a double flair.
