Clicking in the dash

Does anyone own a G6 that makes a clicking noise in the dash when you turn on the front defroster on full heat? Mine does and GM says that all the G6's do. It's driving me mental! Up here in Canada I need my de-froster!!!!

pyro, I have a G6 and live in Canada too (Mississauga ON to be exact) and yes my G6 seems to make that nosie when I first fire up the window defroster. After a few "clicks" it stops doing it, doesn't drive me nuts at all I've found the dashboard to be rattle free which to me is great seeing how my friends Mazda6 creeks so often it sounds like it's going to fall apart. I don't know why it makes that clicky noise you speak of, but once the car has warmed up it doesn't make it again - small price to pay for such an excellent quality interior IMO.

My G6 also makes that clicking noice and the dealership has told me that it is just the dash expanding or contracting depending on the temperature.

Yea the G6 as well as some of Toyota's newer cars have the same problem. It is probobly the plastic just expanding, usually if the car is cold this is likely to happen.
