I would assume it is in the same location as all other SR20's. The fuel filter is a canister approx. 3" in diameter and 4" long with connectors on each end about 1' in length. It is located to the left of the power steering and master brake cylinder against the fire wall.
Don't have any pics to show. Do you have any manuals (FSM, Haynes, Chiltons, etc.) that are SR20DE powered cars? If not, go check one out at the auto parts store. Flip through it and find a pic. Hope that helps!

I just want to remind you folks to release the gas pressure by removing the fuse for fuel pump, then start the car until it dies. Just want to share this safety precautions. I still need to find where the fuse is located because I also wanted to change my fuel filter.

Can't find fuel pump fuse
I want to change the fuel filter on a 99 G20, and see the filter next to the firewall on the driver side, but can't find the fuel pump fuse. It is not in the fuse box next to the battery or in the relay box by the windshield fluid filler. Can someone please tell me where the fuel pump fuse is located so I can change out the fuel filter? Thanks.

I am not sure how to explain it without pictures so I will try to direct you.
From the front of the car go to the left side of the car (passenger side), also the side of the engine with the belts and plies. Now you are looking at the engine block, look to the left of it, or cabin side close to belts and plies. There will be a gap right there just left of the block where you would see a rounded of cylinder sticking out about 3' diameter and sticking out about 3' or so. My manual says that that is the filter and it looks right from new filters I have seen but I have never changed it myself. I don't know how to change it as I don't se how I can get to it to unscrew it. |
