GSR Swap.

I know there have been many posts on this swap... But none i found gave a definative answer to my question. I have a 2000 b18C1 that i just finished building for my 93 Civic EX, my question is which parts are interchangable and which do i need from the GSR??? I know i need the mounts from the GSR, but what about Alternator, A/C compressor, brackets...wiring harness... and anything else i may be forgetting.

Thanks in advance to all who reply with meaningful answers.

Re: GSR Swap.

You'll need the rear mount bracket from an Integra, and a del sol vtec A/C bracket. I'm not sure about the A/C compressor. For the rest, there are 2 ways you can go. 1) use the OBD1 harness or 2) use the OBD2 harness. Here's a link on Honda-tech (6th post down), I could never explain it right myself so here's the link: http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=550976

Re: GSR Swap.

ok, will the compressor and brackt from the GSR work... And thanks for that link, that cleared up some questions, but let me make sure i understood that correctly, because my can already has V-Tec, i dont need to run any wires for the ODBII harness to work.. just plug it in at the shock towers and go using my stock ECU (rechipped with the GSR fuel map). Because while researching this ive heard that i need to run wires for the knock sensor, IAB and EVAP Purge....

Re: GSR Swap.

Yes you'd need to still run the wires for the IAB, KS, and Evap; from the shock tower plug to the ecu pins. So as long as you're using the engine harness from a GS-R, then it will all be wired up on the engine harness end of the wiring.
As for the A/C compressor and bracket, I'm honestly not sure. I've never helped with a swap where someone kept their A/C. I'm sure someone else has the answers for that though, it's a pretty common thing I'd assume. Wish I could help more.
