Question Auto Transmission check engine light

olds silhouette 1999 transmission problems, I have ocasionaly check engine light come on, after shifting
gears Auto transmission what I have noticed the problems starts about the same place I am driving not always but some times when I am neering Digital cell tower, it could be digital signal interfering with the
sensors on the the transmission? next time I start the engine the light is off or goes off after driving few Km and the transmission works fine. The other day I drove 750 km( no digital cell towers in this Hwy) no problem until I approached the cell tower at about the same spot on the road near my home this has happened about 6 times, also same thing happens when I am approaching the city where there is several digital cell towers, I live 40 km from the city and and cell coverage does not work for about 20 km, does this make any sense or I am imagining things?

Re: Auto Transmission check engine light

Hello,It sounds like tourque converter clutch solonoide,I think thats the only thing that would make the check engine light go on,Do you have an auto parts store nearby that offers free computer check? I think for transmission troubles its code 42 or 43.See if you can get it on a computer and let me know how things turn out. Have a good day...diesel1962
