I smacked a pothole and lost a rim and its tire a couple of weeks ago. I've since replaced the rim and it came with a tire. The tire is a Michelin 195/55/R15. The other three tires on my car are 205/50/R15s. The three are fairly worn but have another 10K miles left on them. If I buy a new 205/50, it wouldn't match the other three but riding with the 195/55 feels like it could be a problem. I dont really have the cash to drop on four new tires.
Any thoughts? |

Re: Mismatched Tires Sizes
Throw it on the back. Should be fine until you can afford 4 new tires. The overall diameter should be about the same so you don't really have to worry about that. Having one skinnier tire could affect handling though. Just don't be Speed Racer until you afford the new tires.
