Stalling problem with 93 Grand Am 3300 V6

Hi all

I am having a problem with my 93 Pontiac...it starts and idles fine, but while driving you give it gas, it stutters, jerks, and sometimes stalls. I just got a call from the service station, they can't find anything wrong with it. They checked all the sensors, the injectors, it all checks out. Any suggestions?

Did they perform a vacuum test? and try running the car while tap with a screw driver on the MAF. If it stalls its the MAF. You can also try running the car and then unplugging the MAF. If your car seems to have no reaction also could be MAF.

A standard test is to also do a "tap" test on the ECM (computer to the right of the glove box). After time, the board can become brittle and crack causing intermittent stalling or failure to start. Start the vehicle and press on the ECM unit, or lightly tap it. If the vehicle behaves in any sort of strange fashion, your ECM has likely gone bad.

check the iac valve as well. My brother's old Century did that, it's a common GM problem
