I just install a performance chip from JET and 1 week later my gas guage is acting up. The guage will drop to empty and the Low Fuel message will come on.... the it switches back to normal working just fine. This will happen just sitting at idle and while driving. So could the chip have caused this problem or is it the sending unit?
Please help! before I take it to the dealer |

Re: Gas Guage and JET Chip
Hi, no connection to the chip, may be something got disturbed.
It sounds like an unreliable electrical connection. Could also be the gas gauge. Take care, Eggert

The first thing GM does to correct the sulphur problem on fuel sending units is change the program that reads the sender. Maybe the chip has affected the program???? The re-program seldom fixes the gauge problem so the sending unit gets replaced on the second or third trip to the dealer.

I had a JET chip on another GM vehicle. The car started to act strangely. I called JET (Jones Electrical Technologies) and they gave me an RMA to send the chip back. They checked it out an ultimately sent me a new one; no charge. If you suspect it may be related to the chip, call JET and explain you situation. They were good to me and should be to you.
