Trouble Code PO430
My engine light came on.(again)..so I hooked a scanner up to the DLC port on '96 Tbird...the code came back as PO430..when I looked it up it was defined as, Catalyst Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 2). I have a feeling it refers to the Catalytic Converters. Am I correct in this assumption...need some help please..thx

Re: Trouble Code PO430
Could be several possible causes. Bad fuel is one. Just having poured SeaFoam or other intake/fuel system cleaner into the the engine is another. Reset the code and see if it comes back. If it does, replace your upstream O2 sensor before you start throwing new cats at it.
