Good Tires
I Have A 93 Lumina Eurosport Sedan. I Just Purchased 4 New Tire And I Was Wondering If These Tires Are A Good Brand And Model. They Are Bf Goodrich Revelation 215/60/16. The Car Rides Better And Handling Seems Better. What Is A Good Site To Look At Reviews Of Tires. The Tire Were 70.00 A Piece. Thanx

Re: Good Tires
I don't know about that particular tire, but in general you can't really go wrong with Goodrich, and the price was certainly right for that size. I put new ones on my '97 last summer, I have 225/60/16's and went with Yokohama AS430's this time instead of the Brigestone Potenzas that I've had on it since new, and am very happy with them. However, they cost $600 for the set, so they'd better perform.
Consumer reports is a good place to shop tires. And a lot of the online tire distributors have good resources for comparing tire brands and models side by side for features and performance on their site. Tirerack.com is one I use a lot.

Re: Good Tires
Is this them?
I'll tell you what I see. This looks like a good all-around replacement tire. It doesn't show some of the charactaristics of a speed-rated performance tire, that is probably why the price was so good. A more expensive tire would have a more squared shoulder with sligtly more tread width, and deep, wide rain channels through the circumference to evacuate water quickly from under the tire at high speed. This tire appears to be an excellent replacement for the original equipment style tire, at least comparable to the technology of tire construction when this car was new. The tread design should give excellent grip on wet surfaces at reasonable speeds, and outstanding traction in loose conditions, such as wet snow or gravel. The tire was rated by the manufacturer as a 6 out of 10 in all scored areas, making it slightly better than average for it's product range, and I would say an excellent buy for he price. Apparently this is a tire that is manufactured by BFG for a tire store chain, like the Michelin models that are made exclusively for Sears. These are usually a very good deal for the money, and I think you will be happy with them, as long as you aren't looking to do any high-speed antics.

Re: Good Tires
thank you for giving that peice of info. the tires are pretty good in the snow. im in cleve, oh and the weather has been pretty crazy lately. that is the exact tire. i kinda wish that i could of gotten something with more performance in mind. however this was an excellent buy. i got them from sears, i was lucky enough to come on the day that they were offering an extra 10% off of everything. im guessing overall the majority of BFG tires are good tires.

It almost seemed that All-Season tires were going to become the answer for winter driving in America. Their promise of instant adaptability from one season to another combined with the popularity of vehicles equipped with easier to drive front-wheel, or four-wheel drive systems helped make the All-Season tire's traction level acceptable in light snow conditions. Then Bridgestone introduced a new type of winter tire, which in addition to its exceptional snow traction could even come close to equaling the ice traction of studded tires...without the studs. And by establishing a higher benchmark for dedicated winter tires, the Blizzak's exceptional snow and ice traction revealed the inherent compromises of All-Season tires. Today, the Blizzak WS-50 represents the second generation of Bridgestone's WinterBiter tires. So if you want to maximize all of your vehicle's winter capabilities, the Bridgestone Blizzak WS-50 will help provide the snow and ice traction you need. The "hillfolk" around here swear by them, and won't run anything else once they've had them.

I've had Goodyear Eagle RS-A's on my 1998 LTZ and they lasted 67,000 miles. When I needed to replace them, they were too expensive when compared to other tires I was shopping around for. I used Dunlop SP Sport A2's and they were great but wore out in 25,000 miles- too soft rubber I guess. I now have BF Goodrich Traction T/A's and I think they are perfect for my car. Price was right, quality was awesome, quiet ride and great in snow.

I sell these tires for Sears. They are a pretty good tire as long as you keep them rotated...very often(every oil change). otherwise they'll wear out in about 25,000 to 30,000
