Help Dealership ripping friend off what can he do
Ok, my friend had the dealership replace 2 O2 sensors on his car. They charged 850-1,000 American dollars. Is it me or is that some BULL. My friend doesn't think that he can get a refund or anything, but my father says that he can dispute it with the dealership and demand to look at there parts/labor book that estimates the costs of these things and if the dealership is found to overcharge for this (WHICH THEY WILL) then he can take it to the regional Nissan reps and they will do something. Anyone out there have any thoughts or ideas? I could've bought 2 sensors for 100 or less (total) and installed them for free, but 950-1,000 is REDICULOUS. Now it's a matter of taking it back and raising some hell. If anyone can contribute legal thoughts or legitimate points that can be brought up when we make this trip back, that would be helpful...till then...peace out.
Oh ya, if someone could describe how to change the sensors in a maxima please do I drive a honda so I'm not sure if it's very different or not. No need for details just for example: 1. Jack up the car, 2. switch the sensor....etc....thanks again. |

. . On top of that, they maybe even DID NOT change them... only charged. Verify... Would not be the first time. Always be present when u car is worked on, does not matter if dunno anything. Know spare prices, demand old spares with ya; u can always sell em as theres 80% sure no problem... Call NTHSA, ask whattodo. (We do not have that, we only have police, radar, criminal charges fot THE CAR OWNER... that is EU 'freeDoom' =ntl socialism) Seek out: www.nhtsa.dot.gov old maximas: http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/p...ecallsearch.cfm larry long at NHTSA @ 1-800-986-9678 ext 66281 Yes, Jack... ---> Maintenance Manuals: 1.
