Few races in the Srt-4

Been a while sence i have posted a kill/death mainly because i have been saving up a few so i can put em all in one post.

1st race: I was driven home around 12:00am from my girlfriends house when i saw my buddy in his lightning turn onto the road i was on. He was with his girlie of course. He rolled down the window and yelled "from 20" so we both slowed down to 20 i popped it into secound gear around 2.25 grand. There wasn't a single car on the road, completely empty. He honked down and we took off. I immediatly took a 3 car lead because he just sat there spinnen. I look in my rearview mirror and see him almost go sideways. He corrects her and brings her back up next to me.

Him: Lets not go from 20 i get no traction
Me: 40 Sound good?
Him: Yeah
Me: You honk down

We decided to head to Pecos (2 lane Highway Straight and level for 14 Miles) I drop it into secound and wait for him to honk down. At the third honk i gun in and take a slight lead due to his auto tranny downshifting. From 40-70 we are dead even and i am holding him in third. Redline 3rd and drop it into fourth around 85ish mph. Once i do this he begins to walk me hard and by the end of forth he has 2 car lengths on me. We both shut down, and he slows beside me to give me a thumbs up and we go our seperate ways.

2nd race kinda

It was around 5:15 Pm i was omw home when i stopped at a light. A chevy truck of some kind, the one with the Z74 on the side pulls up next to me. He Looks at me and smiles and revs at me. This guy was probably 38ish baseball cap and talking on his cell phone, he had a HUGE grin on his face . I look back at him with a look of <are u serious> and he just nods his head and revs. I look ahead to check the traffic and by an act of god it seemed the street are completely clear for about 2 miles infront of me. Light turns green and me thinking he is joking take of normally. He guns it and gets a lil wheel spin. I think to myself, Ohh what the hell and gun it in secound gear. I immediately make up his 1 car lead and procede to walk him like he is standing still. After putting about a bus length on him i turn into the bank to deposit meh check. He follows me in and he asks me a few questions about my car and we shoot the Sh!t for a little bit and part our seperate ways. Cool guy.

2.5

Tonight i i went out for a lil cruise see if there was anything out. I turn onto a road and see a l8er model porche of some kind ( looked like 80-89 ish) I couldn't tell you what it was, just that it was a black older model porche. I pull up next to him look over and he doesn't look back. So i figure he is just cruising. We pull up to a stop light and i see him glarring at me. I give him a "you up for it shrug" and he doesn't really answer so i think nothing of it. Light turns green we both take off normally. I shift into secound gear and am at around 2500 rpms and give it a quick little burst of gass. I see him gun it and stomp on it also. He was dead even with me tell around 60 when we shut down. I pulled up next to him and he rolled down his window. I gave him another "once more" shrug and he shakes his head no. So i give him a thumps up and pull a U'y. 5 more miles down the road i see a dodge intrepid turn onto the road with 2 HUGE racing stripe viynals. I catch up to it and look over and see to chicks, the one in the passenger seat was pretty hot . We pull up to the light and the passenger seat. She asks my who i bought my car from and tells me she works at the dodge dealer i got it from. We shoot the shit for all of 30 secounds when the lights start to change. The driver of the intrepid Starts revving hard. So i look over and Nod and laugh to show em i'm game. Light turns green and they hit it. I hear that punny lil v6 come to life. i take off normal shift into secound at 3k and gun it. flew past em hard. Slowed down gave em a thumbs up and the passenger blew me a kiss.

3rd

After that i look a little ahead of me and spot a anaversary addition GTI with a nice echaust on it. (not ricey at all) i Pull up next to them realize the driver and passenger are a couple of guys i have partied with before.

Me: Hey dood whats up?
Him: Not much dood i like your car. When you get it?
Me: Mid feb, did u wanna run
Him: sure why not.

We Pull off to a long and straight road and we drop down to 40. I drop to secound and so does he. (His downshift sounded like an M3 SMG downshift. Perfect Rev matching. This guy is an amazing driver. Went and did some twisties with this guy before back when i had my tc) After i drop it into secound he guns it gains half a car and then i gun it right after he takes off. All Through secound i am slowly inching on him. I hear him Shift to third when i have about 1500 rpms left in second when we are dead even. at 60MPH i Shift to 3rd and walk him hard. Pulled 1 car on him and decided that was enough and shut it down. He signals for me to pull into the gas station that was 200 ft ahead. We pull up and i ask him what he has on his car. He said full exhaust with a 3 inch downpipe. Ram air intake(used to be cold air but its been raining alot so he put in his short ram air)Front mount IC ,Chip, and coil overs. Said he was dynoing around 200 whp. We shoot the shit a lil more and tells me that a performance part comp he works for is goen outa buisness so he is getten a new turbo in the next 2-3 weeks and hopes to be runnen around 350 hp. We both decided to head out, I thank him for the race and head home to type this novel up.

Cliff notes:

Modded lightning 2 me 0

Messed around with a 80s porche.

Talked to some hotties in an intrepid

Smoked a Aniversary GIT.

You know..street racings bad. If you didn't know yet..I just got a $275 speeding ticket for going 83mph. Oh yeah..and five points. I'm just glad I didn't get caught street racing. I don't know if I'll ever street race again.

Sorry to hear that man. Luckly where i normally cruise there is not much po around. But its not like i do this every night. I probably get 1 street race a month. Most of my action is normally at the track or secluded desert streets. AZ has its perks

By no means was it an M3 lol but his down shift was SOOOO nice it sounded like a downshift from a smg m3. perfect rev match, real quick blip and dropped it down.

The Guy in the lightning is a real good friend of mine very cool guy. His dad has an M3 that he drives around all the time. Its lightly modded with exhaust and strut/sway bars. This Sat i will be racen him on the freeway with him the the SMG M3. Will def post the results, i think i will get him at first but his top end will eventually burry me.

Dude, you got a ticket for fucking around plain and simple. Just let it go, don't start preaching to everybody who posts in here that racing is bad.

We know it is, you know that we know. We're not stupid, and you know that too.

I don't want to come down on you, but I hate people who are so gung-ho about something but the minute they get they get a bit shaken up they start preaching how that one thing is the worst thing ever and start to ruin the good times.

Just chill mang.

I always figured Dampachi as some huge baddass brawler from the way he talks, he's always to aggressive and straight to the point and now he's humbled by a speeding ticket, go figure, we all have our kriptonites I guess.

well it happens dude, I got scared as hell when I totalled my SRT, I swore I would never ever EVER race again! and yeah that lasted about 3 months and now I cant stop. its scary cause I payed big time for that car but lost everything. It was my very first post too.
http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...light=SRT+tree
after that I hated the SRTs cause of what happened to me but it was my fault cause It really was too much to handle and I just couldnt drive! now I'm even contemplating buying another SRT. So yeah its scary and all but I know Dampachi will be back to normal soon.

Do you know what brand exhaust? If its RE, tell him to ditch it, I've heard nothing but shit about them, saying that if the fit when you get it on (which is a suprise all in itself), that it will only give you problems down the line. I was gonna get the RE IKON for my car, but the guy I was gonna buy it from said he refuses to sell them, becuase they currently have two law suits against them from his cutomers for making shoddy products. What do you have on your SRT-4?

I have no clue what exhaust is on it. Because it is leased he had to go through the dealership. It Sounds ricey for a bimmer, but what ever bmw puts on for aftermaked exhaust is what is it lol.

Srt-4 is bone stock except for Front/rear Strut and sway bars + mopar BOV.

Re: Few races in the Srt-4

Dinan. Way overpriced for not a whole lot. A CAI from Dinan costs five somtin, and everyone says its not the best. He'd be better off going to Active Autowerkes, Supersprint, or getting a custom system. If he had some serious cash, he could go with Dixis Spirit. Tell him to get the Conforti software, and a Grouppe M intake, and then his car will really move. I bet he was told that becuase it was leased he had to go Dinan, total BS. Anywyas, enough of that rant...

Lol, well his dad has the money so he just throws money at the m3 for minimal gains. His dad is a injury laywer/ambulance chaser, forgot the technical name. But him and his son are really cool people. I r sad though i just talked to him today said he is goen to hawaii tomorrow so i wont get to race him tell after next sunday.

Edit: Almost forgot, his dad's M3 just got back from some tuning i think it was some software and a few other good things. My friends says its a lil faster then it used to be so we will have to see

I think so too, if it was stock i might have a chance. But with the bolt-ons and tunning looks like i am in trouble.
