Talking Full-Blown 180sx

Well this is probably my 6th or 7th model I'm working on right now, but the others are on hold. Just need spring to come so I can finish them. And I need to do some engine research for my R32. Anyway this is my second Tamiya 180sx, I paid a cool $20 shipped for it. I'm building it as a gift for my girlfriend for her birthday, which is in July so I have a long time to get it finished. The car is going to be pink with a white/pink interior. I am building a custom bodykit, rollcage and opening the drivers door. The car is also going to have lazy eyes and black Impul NS-01 rims. I might think of some other things along the way also. On with the pics.

Heres the brakes I will be using the bigger ones are the fronts and the smaller ones with the suspension on them are the backs.

Custom rear-end took from a Fujimi 180 to allow the back suspension to sit correctly. I had to scratch-build the driveshaft.

Heres the wing(???) and sideskirts I will use.

Rims, back ones have wheels pushed out to show how much of a lip I want them to have.

Just the interior with the panel cut out and the one of the seats I will be using.

And finally the Front bumper and back bumper work I have done.

Damn I love that front bumper but I say shorten it a little bit. But looks good overall.

It wasn't my choice, she said she wanted it, don't ask me why. I don't know???? She is getting other things though, not just the model.

Re: Full-Blown 180sx

from most of the stories I hear, models given to gfs usually end up with broken parts Missing side mirrors is a given

Re: Full-Blown 180sx

by popular demand and after looking at the model a second time, I am in the process of rasing the front bumper to line up with the sideskirts.

I wish I had the skills to do the truck converstion, maybe down the road. And to Jaymes, I know she'll take good care of it, she knows how much I like to build models. Heck she even bought me one for V-day.

Re: Full-Blown 180sx

new pics, I took off a couple mm's to make the bumper almost, but not quite line up with the sideskirts. heres a picture of the new bumper.

I also have a picture of the stance I am going for with the model.

more work would have been done, but GT4 and the gf occupy most of my time.

that trim makes it look much better.

it looks like a ute without the back window, maybe the next one could become a ute?

and i like your way of writing down what you've got planned.

looks good how did you do your lazy eyes cut the 3 sides and bend it up or cut it all off and glue it how you wanted?

Right now the lazy eyes are just three sides cut and the light bent up, but I am going to cut them all the way out and make the light and then glue them where I want them to be.

More pictures coming later tonight or tomorrow, I got the back almost done, and the side skirts.
