Re: b20 + teggy

Ok you will need either a B20B or B20Z the B20B has 126hp and the B20Z has 146hp. You will need to swap over the intake and exhaust manifolds from your B18A and use the tranny and ECU that is already in your car now. Thats it.

Re: b20 + teggy

The B20Z is a upgrade but the B20B is about even, the TQ numbers are higher but the hp numbers are lower.
Get the B20Z and you will be happy.

isn't there something about the cams also? I could have sworn that I read somewhere on here that the LS engines cams are slightly more aggressive than the B20's therefore if you put the ls cams in the b20 you get a bit more HP? Actually on second thought maybe it was the whole LS head that someone put on the b20 to get more?

I dunno maybe whtteg could clear this up, either way I wouldn't do any of this until he clears it up by confirming or not.

Re: b20 + teggy

The heads and cams are the same, however the hp numbers are with the B20 intake manifold and IMHO the LS IM looks like it would flow a lot better.
The B20Z is going to be a little harder to find, try some JDM sites that sell engines.

Re: b20 + teggy

where is Integralover? I remember his saying that hes running like 180hp or something from swapping in more agressive LS cams, and the fuel mapping in the teg aids more hp...?
