B20B vs B20Z ~~ B20B/vtec vs B20Z/vtec
i have the money in hand .... and am looking to purchase a diff. block them the one i have.
Currently running a B16A JDM. Can anyone tell me the Difference in HP with the B20B and the B20Z? Also if anyone has already done the CRV/Vtec change over what was the power gains ..... everything stock (except the pistons and rods) and a What compression ratio. In the Near Future i'm planing on Boostin it as well ........ i'm just seeking HP knowledge for the time being ...... will post my progress as the conversion takes place. Thanks ~~~Smile~~~ PurpleHzae_95 |

Re: B20B vs B20Z ~~ B20B/vtec vs B20Z/vtec
B20B 2.0L DOHC non-VTEC 96-98 CR-V 126hp
B20Z 2.0L DOHC non-VTEC 99-01 CR-V 143hp If you boost it, reinforse the block (sleeves would be ideal) as the b20 was a LS bored to a 2.0. Hence its cylinder walls might not like the idea of boost for very long....

B20B sleeves are a completely different design from B18 sleeves.
