Lost reverse - Automatic transmission

I have a 1993 Del Sol S with Automatic transmission. It runs great, and shifts smoothly. However, reverse just recently went out. No noises, no nothing -- just will not engage. Any one experience this?

I checked the fluid level - no problem there.

Help!

Yah, samething happened to me in my old Civic. Went and got a JDM D15B tranny for $150 and swapped it out. You're going to have to replace or rebuild your tranny.

definately cheaper to replace. I was quoted $2k+ to rebuild it and $600 to swap it. All I spent was the $150 on the tranny and with my dad, his friend and 3 hours of work the car was running again.
