Question Power Handling?

Does anyone know what the power potential is for the non-supercharged 3.8 liter motors in grand prix's? How much power could the components handle from power adders like nitrous or a turbo or anything along those lines?

Re: Power Handling?

The 3.8 can handle power adders CSC,NOS,Turbo, but it's the tranny's on the GT's that cant handle it.

Yeah the tranny can't handle very much. The only thing that I would suggest would be a trans cooler, shift kit, torque converter, full rebuild w/ extra clutch discs, if you can find it a better servo and harder springs for the shifts. Even then that will only let you have 300-400hp and 400-450 ft. lbs. of torque depending on how far you go. Those trannies just can't handle a whole lot, not even when they are built.
