Help~ 94 Mirage ls coupe question

Ok this is the deal.....I have 94 mirage ls coupe 1.8....had some problems with the transmission about a yr ago....and had a torque converter put in it....it was ok for awhile but now the transmission is out again. I have found a 95 mirage that has been wrecked and am not sure about what size the motor is, but my question is this.....can I use the tranmission, and or motor from this 95 in my 94??

I called around to some junkyards and whatnot and they tell me it cant be done...but I dont see why not if you plan to change the whole motor. Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

94's & 95's have the same trans, or same configuration anyways.
