What mpg are you actually getting?

On my "new" '94 1.0 5spd I'm getting 39-40 mpg in mixed city/highway (including hills) driving.

What are you getting in your Metro?

Re: What mpg are you actually getting?

I own a 96 4 door, 1.3 metro. It is giving me 33.53 mpg. mixed (with some minor mods) I know this exactly because I have an eye on it since I bought the car. Every single time I put gas on it, I have a record gas vs. distances. Kind of mania duh.

40-43 in mixed mode over the winter. When the weather warms it should go back in the 43-46 range. '93, 1.0, manual, w/ac.

I live in the frozen country of northern Wisconsin, drive a minimum of 100 miles per day of mixed (city and interstate) driving. In the winter months I get 41 to 43 MPG with my stick shift '94 Metro. In the summer this improves to 43 to 45 MPG.

Re: What mpg are you actually getting?

Is it the winter junk that they put in gasoline, or just the lower efficiently in cold weather and longer warm up times, that makes mileage go down in Winter?

'96 HB 1.0 5-sp, 146k, no power anything, snow tires

This winter I've gotten 40-44 mpg in mixed driving, when shifting early and keeping a light foot on the pedal. Trying to get anywhere in a hurry makes the MPG drop like a stone. Hardly worth it.

I usually take my rpms to 4k before shifting gears. It just sounds better.
